A BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF STYLE OF GURUKUL MUSIC
“GURUKUL MUSIC STYLE” is Today going to present the Program as ‘Rythem of India’ in which you will be delighted to listen to the Ancient Percussion other Instruments e.g. Pakhawaj, Tabla, Mridangam, Majeera, Khanjeera, Jhanjh, Khardhtaal. Sankha, Ghantaal, Tabla Tarrang, Sarangi and Flute of India and Chanting of Ved Mantras displaying Swar Taal Laya Darshan described in- GANDHARV VEDA in Chhand Prabhandh mode.
The concept of this technique is conceived, formulated composed by Pt. Shri Harish Chandra Pati. Pandit Ji has learnt Chhand Prabandh style from his maternal Grand Father renowned Percussion artist of those days Late Pt. Neelmani Mahapatra. Later he became a disciple of Pt. Dal Chand Sharma, a Pakhawaj Mastreo and learnt from many stalwarts in this field. He also assisted a good number of Music Directions of National and International repute. Pandit Ji is also associated with AIR and Doordarshan, ICCR, Sangeet Akademy etc. Not to quote that Pandit Ji has been awarded by many recognitions and awards in his field.
